Family Hike at Big Tree Forest Preserve

Join us for a delightful hike at the Big Tree Forest Preserve! This family-friendly hike is the perfect opportunity to get outside, enjoy the fresh air, and explore the beauty of nature. As we walk along the unpaved trail, we'll observe the changing season, spot local wildlife, and learn about the plants and trees that make this area so special.
Important Details:
Trail is unpaved and well shaded.
We recommend bringing a water bottle, bug spray and wearing sturdy shoes.
Please arrive at 10am!
Schedule
10:00 am - Gather at benches just beyond the restrooms
10:20 am - Start hike & scavenger hunt (approximately 30-40 minutes)
11:00 am - cool off with popsicles!
This walk is designed for all ages, so bring the whole family! Let’s take in the sights, sounds, and smells of the season as we enjoy a peaceful afternoon surrounded by nature.
