Meet the Team

  • Asad Ansari

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Asad has dedicated the past nine years to serving as a youth director in communities across the South and Midwest. He has also held leadership roles as a Regional Manager for Helping Hand for Relief and Development and served as an Executive Director for multiple masajid and nonprofits, including the Islamic Center of Tennessee, the Muslim Interscholastic Tournament (MIST), and Roswell Community Masjid (RCM). Br. Asad earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee Knoxville and completed the seminary program at Tayseer Seminary.


  • Hala Zein-Sabatto

    MARKETING DIRECTOR

    Born and raised in Nashville, TN, Hala grew up in a family deeply involved in the community.  She earned my undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology with a minor in Islamic Studies from Vanderbilt University, followed by a Ph.D. in Cell, Molecular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. These days you’ll find her trying to navigate her newfound identity in motherhood, balancing her aspirations to formally pursue Islamic knowledge while continuing to serve her community.

  • Yasmeen El-Jayyousi

    WOMEN AND CHILDREN’S PROGRAM DIRECTOR

    Yasmeen’s youth was shaped by both growing up in a single mosque community in Columbia, Missouri, and spending a significant portion of her childhood abroad in Abu Dhabi. Yasmeen earned a master's degree in Architectural Design but found her calling after the pandemic, transitioning into a career as a Children’s Librarian in a small-town public library in Missouri. She is excited to utilize her knowledge of children’s literacy and programming towards engaging young Muslim minds. In her free time, she enjoys exploring creative outlets, especially cooking, tatreez, and visual arts.

  • Ziad Maqbool

    OUTREACH DIRECTOR

    Ziad has held leadership roles as an Administrator at Nashville International Academy (NIA) and a Deputy Area Manager for Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD). Previously, he served as the Youth Administrator for Roswell Community Masjid (RCM). Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Ziad relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, in 2022. His experience in outreach, administration, and community engagement reflects his commitment to service and leadership.

Educators

  • Ahmad Deeb

    RELIGIOUS ADVISOR AND STRATEGY CONSULTANT

    Dr. Ahmad Deeb completed formal seminary training, after which he completed his M.A. in Islamic Studies and Leadership. He then completed his PhD in Community Psychology—focusing on psychological sense of community in the Mosque and Muslim spaces. Dr. Deeb was an Imam previously in Toledo, Ohio. He’s the co-founder of Itqaan Institute, Pillars Seminary, and Shifaa Community.

  • Hassan Faye

    EDUCATOR

    Ust Hassan is a hafith of the Quran and a long-time educator for Muslim Youth across Atlanta. He brings 2 decades of youth mentorship experience to the team. He currently serves as a youth director in the Atlanta community.
